This is a tool for recovering data from MS Exchange server.
Microsoft Exchange Server provides a range of features for a mail exchange and collaboration tool. Whether messaging, calendaring and task management or storing contacts and providing secure mobile and web-based access to corporate information this is a preferred tool at many places. This being such a vital program in the business processes, any data corruption could be a huge problem. The recovery toolbox, being discussed here, could provide the means necessary for recovery of the data. Recovery Toolbox for Exchange Server is able to recover data in either the Exchange server 2003 or the 2007 versions. The tool is able to extract data from associated EDB and STM files in case of the 2003 version. While it will extract data from the corrupted files and save it into PST files in case of version 2007. These then can be opened in MS Outlook.
The interface makes it very easy to operate. The screen opens with option for user to identify the version of the exchange server 2003 or lower or 2007 and higher. Next, you choose the specific EDB and STM or simply the EDB file locations on the next screen. The interface wizard then takes you to the analysis screen. The tool will read and analyze the structure of the source files and identify mailboxes, folders and groups of account settings organized in a tree structure. You can browse the tree, view messages in folders and even save individual items including attachments on your hard drive. Having selected the items you want restored the next step is to specify the destination folder. Outlook should be available as an installed application for saving data into PST file.
